Patient-centered occupational therapy
Jess is an occupational therapist at Elite Spine and Sports Care of Paramus who is passionate about providing individualized, patient-centered care to help patients reduce pain, restore function, improve independence, and return to the activities that matter most to them.
Education and experience
Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Jess graduated from Susquehanna University in 2018 with a BS in Psychology and the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia in 2021 with a MS in Occupational Therapy. She began her occupational therapy career in a skilled nursing facility in Delaware before moving to New Jersey and transitioning to outpatient rehabilitation. Drawing on her experience in both skilled nursing and outpatient rehabilitation, Jess takes a functional approach to occupational therapy, focusing on upper-extremity rehabilitation, hand therapy, and helping patients regain the skills necessary for everyday independence.
Her approach
She values patient collaboration, striving to create a supportive environment where patients feel confident and empowered throughout their recovery. Her goal is to help each patient achieve meaningful improvements in function and return to their daily routines, work, and recreational activities with greater comfort and confidence.
Outside the clinic
Outside of work, Jess enjoys trying new restaurants, spending quality time with friends and family, and relaxing at the beach.
